TERMS AND CONDITIONS

All previous agreements are supplanted by the Terms of Service. Your compliance enables service access, disagreement results in ineligibility. “You” denotes either the individual or the organization. 

 User Conduct

At Vikings Global, we may monitor your website activity but assume no responsibility. Your use is subject to various rules and regulations, including Japan’s postal restrictions. By using our services, you agree not to:

    • Transport illegal or dangerous items via Vikings Global.
    • Upload files containing protected software or content without proper authorization.
    • Submit files that could harm another person’s computer.
    • Promote chain letters, pyramid schemes, contests, or surveys.
    • Post illegal, threatening, abusive, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, or sexually explicit content.

Late invoices, exceeding 30 days, will result in a flat monthly fee charge, with potential actions including account cancellation, shipment suspension, or package disposal.

Accounts

To sign up with Vikings Global, you must be 18 and provide your email, name, address, and phone. We may ask for more info for verification. Keep your details accurate or we’ll cancel your account. Keep your login secure and notify us of any issues. Each entity needs its own account. We can refuse service or modify content.

Termination

The Terms and Conditions are valid as long as you’re using the Service. You can close your account anytime by stopping service use. Termination is your only solution for any issues with the Service.

Shipping and Other Charges

Our website’s Parcel Quotation tool helps you estimate shipping costs for combined shipments, while additional charges can be found on our Rates & Services page. We’ll notify you of any changes to costs and charges through email and our website, but we’re not responsible if you miss this information.

Chargeable Weight

Vikings Global calculates shipping costs based on either volume or actual weight. This is determined by measuring the volume or actual weight of each package in a single shipment.

Parcel Quotation

Our Parcel Quotation tool estimates shipping costs for consolidation shipments. Additional charges are listed on our Rates & Services page. We’ll notify customers of any changes to costs and charges through email and our website, but we’re not responsible if you miss this information.

Payments

Vikings Global bills your chosen payment method for all services and account actions, covering setup fees, shipping, handling, storage, return shipping, delivery, and any incoming duty or tax charges. Not paying on time could lead to extra fees, suspension, termination of services, or disposal of your package.

Unpaid Invoices

Accounts with invoices overdue by more than 30 days will be subject to a monthly flat fee late charge, and there is a possibility of account cancellation, suspension of shipments, or disposal of packages.

Parcel Acceptance

Vikings Global strictly prohibits the acceptance of parcels with outstanding charges, cash on delivery (COD) requests, or unpaid postage, unless a prior arrangement has been authorized. If such parcels are accepted, payment of charges and handling fees must precede shipment. Additionally, we enforce a policy of refusing delivery for damaged or prohibited items, identifiable upon drop-off or inspection, with such parcels being promptly returned to the sender.

Inspection

Vikings Global may inspect parcels to ensure security, document contents, and comply with export and import rules upon delivery.

We will handle parcels containing items you purchased, those with a courier tracking number, or those clearly intended for shipment. Other items like letters, coupons, or personal statements received under your name will be discarded.

Please use your Vikings Global address only for sending purchased items or gifts to family and friends abroad. It should not be used for other purposes like gathering information or establishing residency in Japan.

Storage/Hold Service

Vikings Global stores damaged or restricted items for 60 days before disposal if no action is taken. They may sell, destroy, or donate them. Customers can request disposal before 60 days at no charge, but they must pay for return shipping and fees if sending items back.

Resizing Service

Vikings Global provides a free parcel resizing service, though not all packages may qualify or experience significant size reduction. Various factors, such as item type and size, original packaging, risk of damage, and shipment service, determine resizing feasibility. Vikings Global reserves the right to resize packages at its discretion. Requests for shipping charge refunds will be declined if the service adheres to company policies.

Unspecified Parcels

In some cases, parcels may not be properly linked to an account due to errors in clients name or account id number. If you experience delays in receiving notification of your shipment’s arrival after it’s been marked as delivered, please contact Customer Service with parcel details.

Vikings Global may impose extra handling fees for parcels with incorrect addresses or account information. Parcels not associated with a customer account after 60 days, despite our efforts to identify the owner, may be declined, sold, or donated at our discretion.

Unclaimed Parcels at Local Warehouse/Office

When using our consolidation shipping service, it’s important to collect your packages within one week of receiving notification. Failure to do so may result in a $1.00 per day per parcel holding fee, which will be charged when you retrieve the final box.

If your shipment remains unclaimed after sixty (60) days, it will be considered abandoned and become Vikings Global property. We may dispose of, sell, or donate the items as we see fit. No refunds will be provided for unclaimed parcels.

Duty and Taxes – Parcel Values

You’re responsible for correctly stating the value of each package to cover duty and tax payments. If there are mistakes in your valuations, you agree to protect Vikings Global from any consequences. Customs officials can inspect packages anytime, and if the value is incorrect, you may face penalties, fines, or delivery delays that you’re accountable for.

You’re also responsible for handling all customs clearance procedures and paying any related charges. Vikings Global fees don’t cover duty or taxes. While our website may offer tools to estimate potential duty and tax charges, it’s your duty to understand the local regulations for your shipments.

Delivery Guarantees

While Vikings Global will strive to deliver your shipments within the estimated delivery times provided on our website or via email, these times are not guaranteed and are not included in our Terms of Service. Vikings Global bears no responsibility for any damage or loss arising from delays by courier or airline services.

Purchases Made with Sellers

Vikings Global provides links to vendors on its website, but we don’t guarantee their product quality. Your transactions with merchants are solely between you and them. We’re not responsible for any issues with the retailer’s service or product quality.

Loss or Damage of Parcels in Transit to Vikings Global Warehouses

Vikings Global assumes no responsibility for parcels lost or damaged before reaching our warehouses. We are only accountable for parcels confirmed as delivered and under our control at our warehouses.

Delivery confirmation is necessary, either through a Vikings Global representative’s signature or acknowledgment in our system. We do not accept liability for parcels without verified delivery. Consequently, no claims or reimbursements will be provided for shipments not received due to incorrect addressing by the carrier.

Product Returns & Exchanges

If you want to return a product before it ships, fill out a Return Request and provide any necessary return paperwork. You’re responsible for any return fees and charges. Once processed and shipped, we can’t accommodate returns. After delivery in your country, it’s your responsibility to arrange returns with the store, though our local office may assist at your cost.

Shipping Insurance

Vikings Global provides shipping insurance for items over $100. It costs $2 per $100 of declared value, with a maximum reimbursement of $1000. Reimbursements under $100 are credited to your account for future shipping payments. However, Vikings Global shipping charges are non-refundable.

Limited Liability for Lost or Damaged International Shipments

For products without insurance, our liability during transportation is limited. We’re only responsible for direct losses, up to $15.00 per kg or the declared value, whichever is less. We don’t cover indirect damages like loss of profits. Shipping expenses aren’t included in our liability. TVs shipped without insurance aren’t our responsibility for damages.

Any claims for loss or damage must be made in writing to Vikings Global on the same day the item(s) were delivered. If claims are not lodged within the specified date, Vikings Global is not liable for the loss. Pull up the shipment on your account to find a claim form. It should be sent to info@vikingsglobal.com.ph together with copies of your delivery receipt, photos and video of the parcel’s condition, and any other relevant supporting documentation.

Your claim will be reviewed once we have received all the required information, and the final decision will be communicated within forty-five (45) calendar days. Claim rewards will be reviewed based on the

information you provided and the insurance you chose. Any incentives earned will be credited to your original payment method or added to your account as an account credit. When calculating claim value, we shall take the lesser of the declared value of the item(s) and the order confirmation/packing list for the items from the retailer. Insured packages will be compensated based on the declared value. Vikings Global shipping expenses are non-refundable.

Claims for Lost or Damaged Packages

For uninsured products, our liability during transportation is limited to direct losses, up to $15.00 per kilogram or the declared value, whichever is less. We do not cover indirect damages or shipping expenses. Claims for loss or damage must be made in writing on the delivery day. Submit claims with required documentation to info@vikingsglobal.com.ph. Claim reviews take up to forty-five (45) days, with reimbursements based on declared value or retailer’s documentation. Vikings Global shipping expenses are non-refundable.

Shipping of Fragile / Heavy / Expensive items:

Customers are required to provide specific handling instructions for fragile items and request extra packing as needed. For fragile and heavy items, pre-alerts should specify pallet transportation. Failure to do so releases Vikings Global from liability for any damages during transit.

Regarding expensive goods valued at over $2500, an export declaration may be necessary. We advise consulting your local office before ordering such items.

Fraud Protection

We’ll work to prevent fraud and cooperate with retailers and authorities if fraud is suspected. Using stolen cards or making false claims will lead to immediate account closure, and we’ll provide required information as mandated by law. Fraudulent activity may result in civil or criminal penalties from authorities.

Agency

You authorize Vikings Global as your legal representative for item receipt, customs clearance, and shipping document preparation. You must provide all necessary information for shipment and export documents. Failure to do so will result in Vikings Global declining to send the items.

Compliance with Export and Import Law

You agree to:

    • Follow all export and import laws.
    • Not be on restricted lists.
    • Avoid shipping to OFAC-designated countries.
    • Not send prohibited or dangerous goods.
    • Vikings Global may refuse shipments violating laws.
    • Provide additional documentation if requested.
    • Take responsibility for any penalties incurred.

Prohibited and Illegal Items

You commit to refraining from using Vikings Global for shipping hazardous, illegal, or controlled substances, adhering to laws of both origin and destination countries. Goods cannot be shipped if they appear on Vikings Global ‘s Prohibited Items list, are restricted by entities such as IATA or regulatory bodies, or if deemed unsafe or unlawful by Vikings Global. If your items are labeled as “Restricted,” you have fourteen (14) calendar days to either have them destroyed, returned to the merchant, or shipped to an alternative address. Vikings Global does not forward parcels to other forwarding firms, and you will be responsible for shipping charges for returning or forwarding items. Failure to advise within fourteen (14) calendar days may result in Vikings Global ‘s discretion to destroy or donate the item. Illegal items will not be eligible for return or forwarding and will be promptly handed over to local law enforcement.

Indemnity

You agree to safeguard, defend, and indemnify Vikings Global Express Inc. and its affiliated entities, franchisees, subsidiaries, agents, officers, and employees from all claims, damages, liabilities, losses, obligations, judgments, costs, and causes of action (including legal fees) stemming from:

your utilization and entry to the Service, whether by you or any individual using your account and password any violation of these Terms.

Force Majeure

 Vikings Global may be relieved of its obligations, in whole or in part, under these Terms of Service if its failure to perform is due to Force Majeure events. These events include acts of God, natural disasters, utility outages, national emergencies, civil disturbances, wars, epidemics, strikes, or other restrictions beyond its control.

Disclaimer

Your utilization of the Service entails inherent risks. The Service is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis, without any warranty, whether or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or consistent performance.

Limitation of Liability

Vikings Global Express Inc., its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from:

Your use or inability to use the Service.

    • Actions or content of any third party on the Service.
    • Content obtained from the Service.
    • Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.

This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory and even if we were aware of the possibility of such damages. Our maximum liability to you, except for international package shipments as described in the Limited Liability for Lost or Damaged Shipments section, is $100 USD per incident for any inaccuracies in the Services provided under these Terms.

Changes or Modifications to Terms and Conditions

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time and without prior notice. If a revision is significant, we will provide at least seven (7) days’ notice before the new terms become effective. Determining what constitutes a significant change is solely at our discretion.

By continuing to access or use our Service after such modifications take effect, you agree to be bound by the updated terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, you are no longer authorized to use the Service.

Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions (or as they may be updated from time to time) comprise the whole agreement between us regarding the use of the Service, your account, and the Vikings Global website. Any other written or oral declaration or agreement is superseded and has no impact.
